The Chinese Classical Philosophy
Chinese Philosophy, particularly Confucianism And Taoism has been the
mainspring of a national heritage which has enjoyed unequalled success
for thousands of years.
The thoughts and teachings of these philosophers is unparallelled by
anything in western culture.
An example of this is as follows:
Lao Zi : "...Isn't the tree stronger than the grass?..."
Student : "...Yes..."
Lao Zi : "When the typhoon comes, the tree is uprooted, yet the grass remains."
While in some ways alien to the western mind these insights into a culture of harmony with one's surroundings and acceptance of everyday joys and woes are a refreshing and important part of learning.
